Enhancing citizen participation and inclusion in social accountability and governance processes project in Kwale County.
Following the successful completion of phase I of Jumuika Imarisha, Enhancing citizen participation and inclusion in social accountability and governance processes project in Kwale County, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF) in the implementation of phase II of the project.
The scale up will build on networks established and lessons learnt to consolidate gains made in Phase I. We aim to strengthen engagement with key stakeholders in the county, build capacity of advocacy champions on inclusion of young people in county policies and provide practical opportunities for them to apply their learning through policy and legislative influencing. We will continue to support target groups of youth, women and PWDs in accessing economic opportunities through effective implementation of Access to government procurement opportunities (AGPO).
In addition to the scale-up, YOWPSUD will play an anchor role in convening the Kwale Community of Practice (CoP), a network of civil society organizations. This platform will provide actors with opportunities for learning and documenting best practice.
We look forward to more successes as we continue to drive impactful social change.
