My name is Zedekiah Adika. I am an advocate of the High Court. I work at Kituo Cha Sheria as a program officer in charge of Advocacy Governance and Community Partnership. I also serve as the Chair of Coast Civil Society Reference Group (Network).
I sincerely thank YOWPSUD for this humble choice. I am greatly honored.
I am equally grateful to all CSOs at the Coast, fellow CSO leaders, and my home organization Kituo Cha Sheria for their unwavering support in this work.
Community work can be challenging, I am hopeful the future will be great but only if we focus. We are at a critical moment when civic space is not just under threat of heavy hands of the state but also a camouflage of 'partners' with deep pockets, our vigilance and value system must be at its best.
As Kenya is celebrating Mashujaa Day YOWPSUD takes this great moment to honor a hero amongst us who has worked diligently to serve his community. Adika we are proud of you and therefore celebrate you on this #MashujaaDay2020.
