About the Opportunity
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the visibility and impact of the European Union's development cooperation initiatives in Kenya. The successful candidate will work within the EU Delegation's International Partnerships (INTPA) team, supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of communication campaigns that highlight the EU's investments and partnerships across the country.
The role combines strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, campaign management, and project oversight. It is ideal for professionals who enjoy translating development results into compelling stories that inform, inspire, and engage diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will be expected to:
Design and implement strategic communication campaigns.
Coordinate communication and visibility activities for EU-funded programmes.
Advise programme teams on Communication and Visibility (C&V) requirements.
Manage relationships with communication agencies, consultants, and other service providers.
Monitor campaign performance and evaluate communication outcomes.
Support financial monitoring and contract management for communication activities.
Strengthen collaboration with government institutions, civil society organizations, media, and development partners.
