Webinar on COVID-19 and the Creative Sector

The pandemic has had a significant negative impact on the creative sector, especially for those in live music and events, film, tours and tourism, gaming, fashion and more. UNDP Kenya is keen to explore and accelerate opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship in sectors like the creative sector, whose intersection with the gig economies has potential for livelihood options for youth, women, and other marginalized groups.

In August 2020, UNDP Kenya launched a Creatives Innovation Challenge in Kenya to solicit innovative approaches to leverage creative media to help tackle the COVID-19 misinformation challenge.

Join the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) for an exciting conversation as we explore the role of the creative sector in the pandemic response and recognize the winners of the UNDP Kenya Creatives Innovation Challenge.
