Youths unemployment is a major challenge within kwale county. This has come up even after the introduction of Devolution which was perceived to be a game changer to youth unemployment.
Unemployment has contributed greatly into youths from kwale county joining into Violent Extremism. It is a perennial challenge that needs to be addressed.
During our first Inter-generational dialogue forum in kwale county, Unemployment as an issue affecting youth in the Kwale communities came out very strongly therefore County and National governments together with key stakeholders need to join forces and seek ways and means to tame this issue.
Here are some ways that were suggested, in order to curb unemployment: 1. Reduce or remove bureaucracy in Employment 2. Remove all bottle necks in all Employment Bureau 3. Adopt the Affirmative Action in Employment
