Economic Empowerment
Although there is a rise in demand for skilled labour in the country, many young people are face challenges in securing employment due to their lack of relevant skills. The problem is particularly acute in marginalized areas of the country, where access to quality education and job opportunities is often limited. There is need to equip young women and men with employability, technical and green skills to pursue decent work and economic growth.

Our programs focusses on young people who experience the most inequality and discrimination in activities aimed at preparing and opening doors for them to better, equitable and sustainable economic opportunities. Specifically, we support young people to improve or develop new skills - employability, technical and green – needed to access and succeed in the workforce.
To ensure lasting change and inclusive economic opportunities for all youth, our programs improve skills, change attitudes and behaviors of teachers, parents, employers and communities so they contribute to creating an environment of equality and inclusion for young women and men with disabilities in education, training and employment. Through these programs, youth are facilitated to access networks, opportunities and services as well as decent employment, self-employment, enabling them to advance to higher education or improve their career readiness and resiliency.
These programmes are implemented in partnership with educational institutions, government agencies, and private sector organizations.
